See Summer CampsFive weeks, one hour a week, grouped by level, with a coach who knows every kid by name by week two.
Junior clinics are five-week series on township courts, one hour once a week, in groups of up to 16 split across two courts. We group by level rather than strictly by age, so a 9-year-old who has played for two years is not stuck with first-timers and a 12-year-old beginner is not thrown in with tournament players. Younger beginners use low-compression balls and shorter courts so they rally sooner and build real technique instead of chasing balls.
Each session mixes technique, drills, footwork and games, with point play every week once the group can rally. Coaches are certified and background-checked, and the same coach stays with the clinic all season. Parents are welcome to watch; many run their own adult clinic on the next court at the same time.
Clinics run outdoors from spring through fall in every town, with indoor winter sessions in a few. Rain-outs are made up on a date scheduled with the township. Loaner rackets are available, and when your child is ready for their own, the coach will suggest the right size.
See All Junior Tennis ClinicsJunior tennis clinics are $150 to $180 for the five-week series depending on the town, with a resident rate in some townships. Rackets can be borrowed and balls are provided. Clinics that do not reach their minimum are cancelled with a full refund.
Most juniors move from Beginner to Advanced Beginner after one or two series and into Intermediate within a year. From there, our Performance clinics and summer camps prepare players for school teams and USTA junior play. For kids under 7, Ready Set Rackets covers ages 1.5 to 5, and many towns run a 5-to-7 option; ask us for the best fit.
